What lessons are like, and what they cost

Learn the Alexander Technique one-to-one or in a small group, face to face or online from anywhere. Lessons help you enjoy and get the most out of your work, your practice and your everyday life.
What a first lesson is like
- You tell your teacher what brings you, whether that’s pain, performance, posture or simple curiosity.
- Your teacher guides you through simple everyday actions such as sitting, standing, walking, speaking or playing your instrument, using words and a light touch. You stay fully clothed.
- You may spend part of the lesson lying on a table while your teacher helps release tension and improve coordination.
- You notice what changes, and leave with a few clear ideas to practise on your own.
Wear comfortable clothes. Lessons last 45 minutes, with an hour set aside so there’s time to arrive and settle. A few lessons can help with a particular problem; a series of lessons lets you make lasting changes to the way you move.
Ways to learn
Individual lessons with Greg. One-to-one, at your own pace, in Wentworth Falls or online. The best place to start.
Online lessons. Surprisingly effective: we work with your own activities in your own space, wherever you are in the world.
Sydney group class. A monthly Sunday class in Sydney with BodyMinded teacher Nick Denington.
What lessons cost
Greg now teaches on a donation basis: you choose what to give for each lesson, at a level that is fair and sustainable for you. If a guide helps, students currently give between $50 and $130 a lesson.
Other BodyMinded teachers set their own fees, so contact them for current prices.
