FAQ’s

Q. Is there a payment plan option?

A. Payment Plans are available. Please get in touch with Kathryn and she will outline the options for you.

Q. Are there any discounts?

A. The early bird rate of $440 is the best rate we can offer for the 4 day workshop. If you wish to attend and finances are a barrier, please contact Director Greg Holdaway for a private conversation.

Q. COVID safety.

We will always be in alignment with NSW Health orders. This may mean wearing masks while in the workshop. We are pleased to report our previous two years of workshops went ahead with no reported Covid infections amongst participants.

Q. What accommodation is available?

A. The upper Blue Mountains has every level and style of accommodation on offer from backpackers to luxury hotels.  There are also many holiday homes for lease.  For those with a car I suggest saying between the townships of Lawson and Blackheath. This means a car ride of less than 30 minutes to and from the venue in Katoomba.  Please get in touch if you’d like more accommodation information.  The first day will begin at 9:30am. You can arrive the day before or travel early on Thursday 19 Jan.

Q. Will the workshop be relevant for me if I haven’t done any Alexander Technique?

A. Yes. We welcome people new to the BodyMinded Alexander Technique. You will be warmly welcomed and you will find that our approach to learning and teaching is adaptable and responsive to the needs of the participants.

Q. Can I book a private lesson as well?

A. Yes. A great idea if you are traveling from interstate.  Please email kathryn@atsyd.com. A 45 minute lesson with one of our qualified teachers is $99 (GST incl). Lessons with teacher trainees may also be available. These are supervised and a 30 minute lesson is $25 (GST incl).

Q. Can I attend for part of the workshop?

Yes, please email kathryn@atsyd.com to book a space for one or two days attendance.

Q. Can I attend the International Teachers sessions online?

Yes, please email kathryn@atsyd.com to book a space for online only attendance. Spaces will be a available for this from December 12th.

Q. How is the BodyMinded Practitioner Training linked to this workshop?

A. 2022 BodyMinded Practitioner Training students will attend the 4 day workshop as part of their overall study and it is included in their training fee.

If you are a Practitioner student and cannot attend the Summer Intensive, we will make sure you get the foundation information in another way.

Q. How is the teacher training linked to this workshop?

A. We expect the teacher trainees will be part of the Summer Intensive. Some will be offering supervised table turns or mini lessons. The Summer Intensive is an important learning opportunity to see various teachers working in a larger group format and there will be specific sessions for review and discussion about the teaching pedagogy of the workshop with teacher trainees.
